Appointments can be made either by telephone or by calling in at the reception desk. Please call our surgery on 0191 2832050 to book an appointment. We offer Same Day, Next Day and routine appointments. Urgent cases are seen on the day. If
your condition is non-urgent, you can expect to see a GP within one working day, though you may have to wait up to 7 days if you want to see a particular GP.
You also have the option to book up to 4 weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you.
Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide
range of services. Please visit our Practice Team page to help you choose the right nurse for your particular visit. You can expect to see a nurse within two working days. You can book 4 weeks ahead for nurse clinics. You can either book an urgent on the day appointment (if available) or go for a pre-bookable appointment.
We always try to minimise the waiting time for you and, whilst we try to see you at the appointed time, some patients’ appointments may take longer than the time allocated, so please be patient if there is some delay. If you feel your problem may take a little longer, tell the receptionist and she will book you a double appointment, this will help the doctor to allow you more time and not keep other patient’s waiting.
We will also try to give you an appointment with the doctor that you prefer, but it may not always be possible. It’s also advisable that you should try to see the same doctor during the course of the same illness. Please refer to our Practice Team page for more specific information about our doctors which may help you decide which doctor in which to consult, depending on your problem.
Please always attend your appointment on time and if you are unable to keep your appointment then please remember to call us as soon as possible. By doing this, you will be helping us to make more appointments available for you and other patients.
